Chinatown Revitalization Project - Honolulu, HI
The Hawaii Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (HASLA) is working with the community and the City & County of Honolulu on a planning effort for the Chinatown Nuuanu Stream Corridor, in a project called the Chinatown Riverwalk Revitalization and Downtown Connectivity Study. The study encourages development that coordinates Chinatown’s transportation, housing, land use and economic development needs. More importantly, the study aims to address issues of congestion, deteriorating infrastructure, sense of security, and environmental health in order to assist Chinatown in being a safer and healthier sustainable neighborhood.
